Who we are

Monetworks is a software and data company based in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. For any privacy question or request, email info@monetworks.co.za.

What we collect

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number and company (both optional), and your message.
• Thandi, our chat assistant: the messages you type. Before your messages are sent to our AI provider we automatically remove email addresses and phone numbers. Unless you submit the short contact form inside the chat, the conversation is kept only for your visit and is not saved by us.
• Thandi's contact form: your name, email address, company and mobile number (optional), how and when you would like us to contact you, any notes, and your consent with the time you gave it. When you submit it, we keep the chat conversation with your request so the consultant has the context. These details are sent directly to us and are not sent to the AI provider.
• Security records: to stop spam and abuse we keep a one-way hash of your IP address and the times messages and forms were sent. We cannot turn the hash back into your IP address.
• Your browser: your light or dark mode choice and the visible chat conversation for the current browser tab are stored in your own browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Why we use it

• To answer your questions and reply to your enquiry.
• To arrange the free systems review or demo you asked for.
• To protect our website from spam and abuse.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with other companies for their marketing.

Who processes it for us

Our website host and email provider store and send information on our behalf. Thandi's replies are generated by our AI provider, DeepSeek, whose servers are outside South Africa. By using the chat you agree that your chat messages are processed there, so please do not share sensitive personal information (such as ID numbers, health or banking details) in the chat. Contact details you enter in the chat's form stay with us.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and chat requests for as long as we are in contact with you, and for no longer than 24 months after our last contact, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.

Your rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to direct marketing at any time. Email info@monetworks.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

Security

Our website uses HTTPS. Form submissions and chat requests are stored in a location that cannot be reached from the web, and access is limited to Monetworks staff who need it.
